WASHINGTON, Jun 12 (OneWorld.net) - As 11 Burundians stand trial for allegedly killing and selling the body parts of albinos -- which bring good luck according to local superstition -- a humanitarian group is offering protection and assistance to threatened community members.
In addition to visual impairments and a high risk of cancer associated with albinism, albinos in Burundi and neighboring Tanzania are at risk due to the superstition that their body parts have magical powers. © Travlr (flickr)» Read more

Shocked, confused and sad to read about such a inhumanity.
Is this really 21st century world reality where sick-minded individuals take life because of superstition...Protect albinos, they are equal world citizens.
