09/11/2007 Si è tenuta ieri a Roma la conferenza stampa di presentazione della campagna "Liberi da Ogm" promossa da "Italia-Europa" una coalizione di una trentina di organizzazioni del mondo agricolo, dei consumatori, dell’ambientalismo e della cooperazione internazionale per lanciare la consultazione nazionale sul tema degli Ogm. La consultazione, che inizierà il prossimo 15 settembre fino al 15 novembre, chiede che l'agricoltura italiana sia basata su qualità, sicurezza e quindi libera da organismi geneticamente modificati. "La coesistenza fra coltivazioni Ogm, biologiche e tradizionali è impossibile" - ha detto Federica Ferrario di Greenpeace. L’Italia è particolarmente a rischio: mentre i consumatori continuano a dire no al transgenico, 20 milioni di tonnellate di ogm ogni anno, attraverso l’alimentazione animale si insinuano nella filiera alimentare europea.
