09/02/2006 Il Governo italiano ha deciso di puntare sui rigassificatori: tre i progetti autorizzati e finanziati (Livorno, Brindisi e Rovigo) mentre altri otto sono fermi alla fase progettuale, di cui due individuati in Sicilia e due nel golfo di Trieste. L’Alto Adriatico si troverebbe così ad avere tre impianti di rigassificazione: la Venezia Giulia ha sempre rappresentato una porta estremamente importante per il mercato dell’Europea orientale e lo sanno bene Endesa e Gas Natural, le due multinazionali che hanno progettato i terminal nel golfo di Trieste e nel vallone di Zaule, vicino a Muggia. Ma come a Livorno e a Brindisi, anche a Trieste la popolazione ha detto no e si è mobilitata contro quella che viene descritta come l’ennesima prova di forza del governatore delle Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, Riccardo Illy. E la protesta si allarga alla Slovenia e alla Croazia.
