11/30/2005 "Stop Aids. Keep the Promise!": č questo lo slogan della "Giornata mondiale per la lotta contro l'Aids" che si celebra il 1° dicembre 2005. Numerose le iniziative internazionali e nazionali. Unicef-Italia lancia la campagna "Uniti per i bambini, uniti contro l'Aids" per la prevenzione della trasmissione tra madre e figlio. AMREF e ActionAid International rendono noto un rapporto sullo stato della lotta all’Aids in Kenya e lanciano un piano di armonizzazione tra gli interventi per la lotta all’Hiv in Africa. Nonostante la maggiore diffusione dei farmaci retrovirali un bambino ogni minuto muore di Aids ricorda "Save the Children" che promuove 5 azioni per combattere l’Hiv/Aids. Medici Senza Frontiere lancia un appello alle case farmaceutiche affinché producano versioni adattate ai bambini dei farmaci contro l'Aids. Terre des Hommes chiede ai governi dei Paesi ricchi di fermare la pandemia di HIV cosģ come stabilito dagli Obiettivi del Millennio. E la Lila fa "un'amara riflessione": "In occasione del 1° dicembre si “riscopre” l'Aids e le statistiche nazionali e internazionali lanciano dati sempre pił desolanti".
