10/31/2006 Kansainvälinen nuorisotelevisiokanava MTV ja Latinalaisen Amerikan kehityspankki ovat aloittaneet nuoria aktivoivan kampanjan Agentes de Cambio (Muutoksen tekijät). Aloite antaa nuorille mahdollisuuden nostaa esiin oman lähiympäristönsä myönteistä kehitystä. Suomi tukee hanketta Latinalaisen Amerikan kehityspankin kautta.

10/30/2006 YK:n avustusjärjestöt lopettavat hätäavun toimittamisen Libanoniin ja keskittyvät nyt YK:n kehitysohjelman UNDP:n johdolla maan jälleenrakentamiseen. Sia gli organismi non governativi che quelli governativi devono misurarsi con i mutamenti dello scenario internazionale e delle strategie politiche di tutto il pianeta. Gli Stati Generali della Solidarietà e della Cooperazione Internazionale vogliono proporre ed incidere sulla politica italiana, partendo da un dialogo partecipato che coinvolga la cittadinanza italiana e la società civile tutta. Roma ospiterà il grande appuntamento della Solidarietà e della Cooperazione Internazionale italiana: gli Stati Generali si riuniranno dal 22 al 24 novembre 2006 con workshop e seminari di discussione, mentre il Villaggio delle Comunità Solidali si svolgerà dal 20 al 26 novembre 2006.
