11/14/2007 “Vicini alle sorelle ai fratelli di Locri e della Calabria; sì alla Commissione parlamentare d’inchiesta sui fatti di Genova del 2001; per un'intelligente accoglienza e un 'no' chiaro a ogni forma di xenofobia”: sono questi i tre temi di attualità che il Consiglio nazionale di Pax Christi affronta in un comunicato riassuntivo di una riunione svoltasi nei giorni scorsi a Pescara. Sul trasferimento di monsignor Bregantini dalla diocesi di Locri - che la settimana scorsa ha provocato dibattito - il Consiglio di Pax Christi esprime la ferma volontà di “attuare forme di particolare vicinanza al popolo, ai gruppi, alle cooperative, alle associazioni che nella Locride in questi ultimi anni hanno costituito una vera geografia della speranza”. Pax Christi, inoltre, esprime "sorpresa e sconcerto" per la bocciatura della Commissione parlamentare d'inchiesta sui fatti di Genova 2001 e chiede di "porre rimedio a ciò che a noi apparve come una sospensione temporanea degli spazi di libertà facendo ricorso alla prepotenza, all'arroganza e alla violenza".
