Conceptualised by the celebrated and sometimes controversial Indian dancer and actress Mallika Sarabhai and British-Pakistani writer and poet Samia Malik, Colours of the Heart, an unusual stage production, was performed recently in New Delhi. The dance-theatre production has been written on the theme of women's empowerment and highlights what is common to the struggle against gender injustice around the world.

La décision de la Cour suprźme du Chili exprime clairement sa volonté davancer sur la voie de la recherche de la vérité et de la justice, a déclaré aujourdhui Amnesty International, aprčs que la plus haute instance judiciaire chilienne eut confirmé la levée de limmunité dAugusto Pinochet concernant son rōle dans le Plan Cóndor.

Mentre i "colloqui di pace" per il Darfur, aperti lunedģ scorso ad Abuja (Nigeria) tra i due movimenti armati e il governo, segnano solo lenti progressi e si sono bloccati sulla questione del disarmo, Amnesty International ha presentato un Rapporto nel quale accusa il governo di Khartoum per gli "attacchi alla libertą di espressione nel Darfur". E vescovi cattolici del Sudan denunciano che "l'olocausto dell'etnia africana in Darfur č pulizia etnica". Proseguono intanto gli aiuti delle agenzie umanitarie agli sfollati, che ormai superano il milione, mentre si cerca di contrastare il diffondersi dell'epidemia di Epatite E.

Als més de 3.000 presos palestins que des del 15 d'agost romanen en vaga de fam a presons israelianes han comenēat a sumar-se menors que també estan detinguts en aquests centres, encara que els propis lķders palestins s'oposen a causa de els riscos que pot tenir en la seva salut. Actualment gairebé 400 menors estan reclosos a presons d'Israel, confinats amb presoners adults, amb restriccions a tractament mčdic i sense que els deixin continuar els seus estudis des d'aquests centres.

A los mįs de 3.000 presos palestinos que desde el 15 de agosto permanecen en huelga de hambre en cįrceles israelķes han comenzado a sumarse menores que también estįn detenidos en estos centros, aunque los propios lķderes palestinos se oponen debido a los riesgos que puede tener en su salud. Actualmente casi 400 menores estįn recluidos en cįrceles de Israel, confinados con prisioneros adultos, con restricciones a tratamiento médico y sin que les dejen continuar sus estudios desde la prisión.

Human Rights Watchin mukaan Kiinan on välittömästi puututtava etenkin työläisten oikeuksien ja lehdistönvapauden rikkomuksiin maassa.
