04/26/2006 The Presidents of Rwanda, Tunisia and Senegal have been nominated for this year's ICT Africa awards in recognition of their role in ICT development in their respective countries.

Mr. Paul Kagame, Mr. Ben Ali and ex-president Mr. Abdou Diouf, respectively, will receive the awards at the end of the ICT African Ministerial Summit due early next month (May) in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.

04/21/2006 Il rilancio dell’attenzione e dell’impegno del servizio pubblico radiotelevisivo per l’informazione dall’estero è stato al centro dell’incontro svoltosi ieri a viale Mazzini fra i consiglieri di amministrazione della Rai Alessandro Curzi e Nino Rizzo Nervo e una delegazione della “Tavola della Pace”, guidata dal coordinatore nazionale Flavio Lotti, il direttore di “Nigrizia” Carmine Curci e il segretario dell’Usigrai Roberto Natale. I due consiglieri, condividendo le istanze e le aspettative esposte dai tre rappresentanti si sono impegnati a sollecitare l’accelerazione delle procedure in corso per l’apertura delle sedi in Turchia, Sud America, India e Africa. A promuovere inoltre una maggiore sensibilità dell’azienda, a cominciare da Tg e direzioni di rete, verso le notizie, le tematiche e i nuovi protagonisti di un mondo sempre più globale e a proporre una trasmissione di seconda serata sulla Rete Uno che si occupi in maniera specifica di attualità dall’estero. E sempre ieri a Roma è stato presentato in una conferenza stampa il V Convegno Internazionale "L'Africa in piedi con volto di donna" che prenderà il via oggi ad Ancona.
