With less than one month left before the Beijing Olympics, a leading international human rights group has asked President Hu Jintao to release prisoners of conscience, halt arbitrary detentions associated with a pre-Olympic "clean-up" campaign, amend the death penalty, ensure journalists their full freedoms, and account for those detained during the March protests in Tibet.
