The Ombudsperson for Gender Equality and Government Committee for monitoring and evaluation of implementation of gender equality policies reacted to the beer commercial of Zagrebacka pivovara brewery, that goes with the slogan Zujas Law No.11: Men notice only the important stuff. The said commercial depicts a woman coming home with bags filled with groceries after she went to hairdresser to get done for her man but he totally ignores her showing interest only for beer bottles.

Pravobraniteljica za ravnopravnost spolova i vladino Povjerenstvo za praćenje i procjenu provedbe politike ravnopravnosti spolova objavili su danas reakcije na reklamu za Oujsko pivo Zagrebačke pivovare sa sloganom "uja zakon br. 11: Mukarci primjećuju samo bitno". Reklama prikazuje enu koja dolazi kući ruku punih vrećica s namirnicama - poto je bila kod frizera i uredila se za svog mukarca - no on je potpuno ignorira pokazujući interes jedino za pivske boce.

A group of Macedonian non-governmental organizations give their full support and solidarity to Iso Rusi, journalist and president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Macedonia, related to the attacks and threats that the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) sent to his address provoked by his recent op-ed, titled Gospodin Gospodin Thaqi (Gospodin Gospodin is the official title of the archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church), published in Koha daily newspaper.

Sabato 5 e domenica 6 maggio, il Comitato AddioPizzo ha realizzato a Palermo la Seconda edizione della Festa Pizzo Free con lesposizione dei prodotti dei commercianti aderenti alla campagna Contro il pizzo cambia i consumi, dibattiti con i magistrati ed esponenti del mondo dellantimafia. Intanto scoppia la polemica sulla fiction che Canale 5 sta per mandare in onda sulla figura di Totņ Riina, il boss mafioso arrestato nel 1993 e tuttora detenuto. Contro gli infondati dubbi sull'esistenza di una trattativa per far consegnare Riina si pronuncia il capitano Ultimo criticando Claudio Fava, il parlamentare europeo figlio di Pippo Fava, che č tra le firme della sceneggiatura, chiedendogli di non "insultare" chi ha lottato contro gli "assassini di suo padre".

WASHINGTON, May 9 (IPS) - In the run-up to the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Pentagon planned to create a 'Rapid Reaction Media Team' (RRMT) designed to ensure control over major Iraqi media while providing an Iraqi 'face' for its efforts, according to a 'White Paper' obtained by the independent National Security Archive (NSA) which released it Tuesday.
