05/29/2006 The OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro is alarmed by recent activities of the Republican Broadcasting Agency (RBA) Council. While the OSCE acknowledges the fact that an independent regulatory body should be entrusted with the authority to allocate broadcasting licences, it calls on the Council to respect national law and international standards, as well as decisions of judicial bodies such as the Supreme Court.

05/26/2006 Vlada RH jučer je usvojila konačan prijedlog Zakona o sigurnosno-obavještajnom sustavu RH kojim se regulira rad sigurnosno-obavještajnih agencija (SOA) i uputila ga Saboru. Konačan prijedlog Zakona došao je na dnevni red Vlade samo dva dana nakon rasprave organizirane od strane Centra za mirovne studije iz koje je proizašlo da u navedenom Zakonu postoje brojne odredbe koje mogu upućivati na povredu prava građana.

05/25/2006 Yesterday, in Zagreb, the Centre for Peace Studies organized a round-table discussion on the draft-Law on Security and Intelligence System of the Republic of Croatia. The draft has already passed the first reading at the Sabor (Croatian parliament), and the text is now in the process of preparation for the second reading. CMS estimates that there are several disputable points and, yet, there was not wider public debate on the proposal.

05/24/2006 Jučer je u organizaciji Centra za mirovne studije (CMS) u Zagrebu održan okrugli stol o prijedlogu Zakona o sigurnosno-obavještajnom sustavu Republike Hrvatske. Taj je Prijedlog naime prošao prvo čitanje u Hrvatskom saboru i sada se priprema tekst za njegovo drugo čitanje. U CMS-u su procjenjuju kako ima velik broj spornih mjesta u ovom prijedlogu, međutim nije bilo šire javne rasprave oko njega.

Zakonom se garantuje ravnopravnost polova u svim oblastima društvenog života, a zabranjuje i novčano kažnjava ograničavanje tog prava. 05/22/2006 L'associazione Libera annuncia che promuoverŕ una serie di inziative perchč l'Ue introduca un provvedimento di confisca dei beni alla criminalitŕ organizzata con le stessa validitŕ del mandato di arresto europeo. "Le sfide del futuro si delineano sul fronte europeo contro tutte le mafie, perchč č chiaro che i denari di provenienza illecita della mafia russa, delle mafie dell'ex Jugoslavia e della mafia siciliana si trovano anche al di fuori dei confini dei rispettivi Paesi" - ha affermato don Ciotti in un convegno a Palermo dove ha presentato i nuovi canali di commercializzazione dei prodotti agroalimentari provenienti da terre sottratte ai boss mafiosi e gestite da cooperative giovanili in Sicilia. In dieci anni sono stati confiscati dallo Stato 6.500 beni, oltre 2.500 sono stati destinati ad attivitŕ sociali e di volontariato.

05/20/2006 La Rete Regionale Disarmo della Lombardia comunica che la proposta di legge di iniziativa popolare sulla riconversione dell'industria bellica in Lombardia, iscritta all'ordine del giorno del Consiglio Regionale di martedě 16 maggio, č stata rinvita a martedi 23 maggio. “Sarebbe una buona cosa, ma č stata accompagnata dalla "Proposta di deliberazione di non passaggio all’esame degli articoli" decidendo quindi di non discutere nemmeno nel merito di quanto proposto da piů di 15 mila cittadini della Lombardia oltre che da numerose associazioni. Per richiamare l’attenzione dei Consiglieri Regionali, la Rete Regionale Disarmo ha tenuto martedě 16 un presidio informativo per chiedere che il Proposta di Legge venga discussa. La Rete chiede inoltre a tutti di inviare una mail ai consiglieri quale promemoria e di segnalare l'iniziativa agli amici.
