08/27/2007 In occasione della visita in Cina della cancelliera tedesca Angela Merkel, l'Associazione per i Popoli Minacciati Internazionale (APM) ha chiesto alla cancelliera di affrontare apertamente la questione dei diritti umani nel paese asiatico e in particolare la tutela della cultura e religione tradizionale tibetana. La cancelliera tedesca, alla sua seconda visita a Pechino, ha sollecitato oggi la Cina a promuovere un'azione più efficace contro il cambiamento climatico, una maggiore protezione dei diritti di proprietà intellettuale e ha fatto presente che "le regole di fondo per l'approvvigionamento di risorse devono essere uguali per tutti e ovunque": un'implicita critica alle relazioni tra la Cina e il regime del Sudan. Al riguardo Amnesty International mostra oggi nuove prove fotografiche del dispiegamento di apparati militari, tra cui aerei di provenienza russa e cinese, nel Darfur e denuncia che il governo sudanese continua a lanciare attacchi aerei sui civili del Darfur.
