Shipment of GMO corn exported to Hungary returned to Croatia
11/30/2005 Between November 22 and 24, a shipment of six truckloads of corn returned to Croatia, originally exported to Hungary, to a known buyer, by Agragold Company from Zagreb. The Hungarians returned the corn accompanied with a report by a Budapest laboratory which states that the shipment contained genetically modified corn, report Osijek Greens.

11/29/2005 Između 22. i 24. 11. u Hrvatsku je vraćen kontingent od 6 kamiona kukuruza, kojeg je tvrtka Agragold d.o.o. sa sjedištem u Zagrebu, nedavno izvezla u Mađarsku, kao robu za poznatog naručitelja. Mađari su kukuruz vratili uz izvještaj jednog od budimpeštanskih laboratorija, u kojem se navodi kako se u pošiljki nalazi GMO kukuruz, izvještavaju Osječki zeleni.

11/28/2005 Udruga Eko Kvarner na osnovu do sada prikupljenih podataka od međunarodnih instituta i ruskih nevladinih organizacija može potvrditi vijest o odustajanju ruskih naftnih kompanija od otvaranja novog transportnog pravca kroz Jadran putem realizacije projekta “Družba Adria”. Smatramo da je na to odluku ključno utjecala predstojeća izgradnja naftovoda dužine 4.000 km prema Pacifiku, o čemu je prilikom nedavnog posjeta predsjednika Putina Japanu postignut konačan dogovor.

11/26/2005 The “No Shame” action organized yesterday in Zagreb by the Autonomous Women’s House Zagreb, B.a.B.e. women human rights group, and the ROSA Centre for women victims of War>, and with participation by the Zenska Soba (Women Room) organization, marked the International Day of Fight against Violence against Women. The topic of the action was the violence against women and the legal and judicial treatment of the criminal offence of rape.

This is a finding of the monitoring report Rights of people with intellectual disabilities: access to education and employment in Croatia, released today. The report was produced by the Open Society Institute, in cooperation with the Croatian Association for the Promotion of Inclusion.
