Hundreds of Afghan asylum seekers stranded on a Norwegian freighter off Christmas Island last week are to be moved to an Australian Navy ship and sent to New Zealand and the tiny Pacific nation of Nauru following last week's diplomatic stand-off between Australia's government and international refugee authorities.
