'Million Voices for Darfur' postcard campaign in the US, organised by the Save Darfur coalition, culminates in a Washington rally on 30 April
04/29/2006 Unless rebel attacks against UN and other relief operations in part of Sudan's Darfur region stop immediately, the world body will suspend all assistance to 450,000 vulnerable people in the area, a top UN official said.
The statement came on top of an already volatile mix of developments, with the World Food Programme slashing relief supplies to displaced people because it has run out of money, reports of a rise in government attacks and a warning that the deadline for a peace deal is unlikely to be met.

04/07/2006 A Norwegian aid organization that runs the largest camp for internally displaced persons in conflict ridden Darfur was asked to leave the country by Sudanese authorities. Restrictions against NGOs have been increasing the last couple of months and have raised concerns about the millions who rely on humanitarian relief.
