Nelle grandi città del paese ma soprattutto nella capitale Bucarest le autorità hanno organizzato spettacoli e festeggiamenti speciali per un evento che è considerato il più importante dopo quello del 1 dicembre 1918 che marcò la costituzione dello stato unitario romeno. Il 31 dicembre simultaneamente in tutti i capoluoghi della Romania e nelle sedi delle istituzioni sarà alzata la bandiera dell’Unione Europea. In questo modo tutto il popolo saprà che la Romania è diventata membro a pieno diritto dell’Unione Europa. Nessuno può dire con certezza cosa rappresenterà il primo anno europeo. Nessuno sembra però pensare in questi giorni ai problemi che verranno.
