05/10/2007 Malaria strikes and kills hundreds and thousands of infants and young children mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa. Globally, it is estimated that malaria affects about 500 million people a year and nearly a million children younger than five years.

The Zambia Malaria Foundation has embarked on an online discussion group to discuss the link between severe malaria and cerebral palsy in children and what is being done about this problem.
