The SPAC Watch initiative monitors progress towards sustainable production and consumption. Through a collaboration of NGOs worldwide, SPAC Watch brings together civil society perspectives on governmental, business and citizen efforts to reverse current negative environmental and social trends. Activities include the newsletter Getting the Goods, a website, public roundtables and a series of reports (e.g., “Waiting for Delivery,” produced for the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development). The next report is to be released at the 2nd International Expert Meeting on Sustainable Consumption and Production, taking place this September 2005 in Costa Rica.
