Today, 1-4-07, CommonDreams.org news service has an article by Aaron Glantz, (of OneWorld.net), regarding the 3000-plus Americans killed during this awful war in Iraq and the Arlington West crosses on the beach in Santa Monica, California. Here, in Santa Barbara, Ca., 90 miles north of Santa Monica, that goes on every Sunday as well. The crosses are set up just west of the State Street pier on the beach.

We stood by the crosses in the rain the Sunday before Christmas in memory, and honor, and grief. There were journalists from as far away as Finland, with their photographers. Just thought you ought to know that Santa Barbara is doing this too. I am sure we two are not the only ones.
