To demonstrate the importance of providing rural health workers with sustainable transportation to care for AIDS patients scattered in rural areas--and raise public awareness about the disease--a New York-based NGO co-sponsored month-long AIDS bike rides throughout Ghana, and donated 10 new bikes to the Health Ministry.
