08/30/2006 The Saharias - an ancient tribe of the north Indian desert state of Rajasthan - who have been discriminated against and denied government food security programmes have fought with the help of NGOs to seek justice. After a fact-finding mission by the government ration cards have been given to people and ration shops have been opened for them.

05/25/2006 Workers at an illegal brick kiln in southern India were recently rescued by ActionAid and sent home following months of captive hard labour at the plant in Mahboobnagar, about 100 kilometres outside Hyderabad.

09/27/2004 ActionAid India has launched a series of cards on child rights - ‘Emotions’, to mobilise funds for marginalised children. Renowned artiste CD Jain has painted the cards.
