Finance Manager (Oxfam GB)

Oxfam Great Britain

Slowly but surely, life is starting to change in South Sudan. Since the outbreak of civil war in 1983, our work has focused on emergency relief. But with changing realities on the ground, we’re turning our attention to more sustainable and long-term projects. It’s a huge financial undertaking which is why we need your talents to progress our goals.

Be challenged
Before we can realistically pursue any long-term projects, we need to budget for them. You’ll develop our financial strategy for the entire country programme. From planning and control to management and reporting, you’ll be responsible for every aspect of its implementation. Asset management and donor compliance will be other focus areas, and you’ll make sure we have the staff and resources to meet the highest accounting and financial control standards.

Be involved
This is a rigorous financial management role, which is why you’ll need a good finance degree and a CPA, ACCA or similar qualification. Your background in finance and donor contract management means you’ll know exactly what it takes to budget a programme like ours, including carrying out audits and implementing high-quality control systems. And as a natural leader, you’ll inspire your team with your technical expertise and desire to realise change.

Be Oxfam
A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. It’s not their problem. It’s ours too. And with the right support, we can stop poverty and suffering in their tracks. More than 8,000 people already commit their time and talents to our humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
