Comment: It's a difficult thing to say, if I agree or disagree with the war. However, I do know that my husband is out there fighting for us. This has been his 3rd deployment and it does not get easier. One missed phone call and I feel as though I could die from thought that something may have happened to him. I support my husband and any other soldiers out there fighting for our freedom. They go where they are told but, I am however, concerned about the person giving them their direction. Why does he really want this war? I would like a simple answer, to ease my worry.. maybe to see the bright side out of all this. I've waited a lifetime to be with my husband and each and everyday he's in Iraq I feel like I'm going to lose him. Now the President is extending their stay for 18 months. How could he? Every moment that the family is apart we all must learn to know each other all over again. But almost 2 years?? Who will my husband be? And who will I be when he comes home? What about a child who never saw daddy??? Please answer this before you blab about the "righteousness" of our war and why a good man like my husband must sacrifice his happiness and life.

Comment: The only way we could ever leave is to find a new iron fist. The people of iraq do not understand freedom how would you feel if your neighbor wanted to kill you for your belief. For that is what these people do. We took a stable country who we had under check and gave them a hell they will never forget. Untill islam undergoes the reform that christianity went after the dark ages they will always be killers.

Comment: Anybody with any knowledge of the current situation in Iraq and still votes 'Yes' to withdrawing foreign troops before the situation has stabilised is, quite frankly, a moron. If the troops leave beofre stability has been established Iraq and its near neighbours will implode dragging in other countries causing a global economic collapse, quite apart from any other fallout. This one reason in itself should be enough for the troops to stay!

Comment: dude..tracy! wat do u know abt the reasons for iraq. its not terrorism, its all economic. plus even if u think its abt terrorism, how do u justify terrorising the whole country, sending them atleast 50 years back, killing more innocent people than ur supposed terrorism has victimised. u know wat uve been told n u hear. they wudnt tell u y they r there..they know..n they think its worth it cause its abt the money..its the greed then justice..v r living in a shell..everyone else in the world knows exactly wats going on, except us, v know wat our media tells us, n they told by the gov. oly v can make a difference..stand up against inhumanity

Comment: Tracy Garner appears incapable of using both UPPER and lower cases in English. How can we take anything seriously he or she writes? Give me a break.

Comment: i agree with the reasons that we have gone to iraq. i may not agree with some actions that people choose while they are suppose to be over there protecting and serving our people and now the civilian iraqis, but i am behind helping them and protecting us from terrorist. i know that alot of people don't agree with president bush or the reasons why this is happening and i know that the price of gas totally sucks right now, but we must realize that we are doing the right thing. when people do the right thing, others get blessed by it. we are helping the innocent and stopping the guilty from hurting the innocent anymore. i don't see how anyone can honestly see any different. my son-in-law is in iraq, al asid, right now. we miss him, love him, pray for him daily, and wish he was home already! this doesn't change my opinion that we are doing a good thing. i stand behind all this, knowing that my granddaughter's daddy is fighting for our protection and their rights. i ask you to pray for his safety and quick return home. i hate it that we have to loose innocent people in order to protect others but that has been going on since the beginning of time. war is part of life on earth. at some point in history, there was a time that people came to realize that all people should be treated with love and respect. there was a time in our history that people had to stand up for what they believed. these are the times that we see heros become from regular people. these are the times that we must come together as one to bring about good for all nations. these are the times that people must decide, why am i objecting, i'd want someone to save my children from those terrible people, i'd want someone to help my family have safety, security, education, opportunity, etc. wouldn't you, if you are truely honest?
