Meet the Team

Michael Litz
Chief Executive Officer

Michael is responsible for the development, partnership relations, and operations of OneWorld in the United States. He serves on the board of OneWorld U.S. and participates in the global governance structure of the OneWorld network.

Michael brings fifteen years of practical experience in program development and management, strategic consulting, computer networking, web development and technical training to OneWorld. Prior to OneWorld, Michael served for five years as Chief Technology Officer with the Benton Foundation where he was responsible for the Foundation's overall technology strategy and the development and incubation of new technology projects. Michael also has been a technology consultant and managed information systems for nonprofits and political campaigns. Born and raised in Europe, Mike has lived and worked around the world and is fluent in three languages. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees with honors in history from the University of Pennsylvania.

Roshani Kothari
Partnership Director

Roshani manages partnership activities, including the Peer Learning Exchange, Nonprofit Networking Events, Local Lists, Jobs and the Gift Guide.

Her previous experience includes working as program Officer at Pact, an international development organization; and interning with Catholic Relief Services/El Salvador. She received an MA in international development from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and a BA in international studies and communications from Trinity University in San Antonio. She is originally from India, and has lived in Bolivia, El Salvador, Thailand and Zimbabwe, documenting her travels in her online photography gallery.

Jeffrey Allen

Jeff manages OneWorld U.S.'s editorial services, including the OneWorld U.S. Web site, the OneWorld on Yahoo! News page, Perspectives Magazine, and the Daily Headlines email newsletter.

Before joining OneWorld in 2002, Jeff taught English with the Peace Corps in Madagascar and freelanced for a Gannett newspaper in Westchester County, New York. He also volunteered on the communications team for a U.S. presidential candidate and helped build the Web site for the UN Millennium Development Goals Campaign, launched in December 2004. He has lived, worked, or traveled in 13 African countries.

Heidi Bucheister
Outreach & Operations Manager

Heidi provides administrative support to programs, manages the DC office, conducts research, and does outreach to help with promotional efforts.

Heidi joined the team shortly after receiving a B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University. During her undergraduate years, she studied in Geneva, Switzerland, where she got direct exposure to the world of international non-governmental organizations and attended seminars at the United Nations. Her previous experience includes internships at Care2, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and the Department of Justice. In her spare time, she likes to travel, knit and learn languages.

Ida Wahlstrom

Ida oversees production of OneWorld's Daily Headlines page and the Daily Headlines newsletter. She also assists with a variety of other editorial products and covers events in Washington, DC.

Before joining OneWorld, Ida received her B.S. in International Politics from Georgetown University. Having grown up in ten countries spanning five continents, she has long been passionate about human rights and sustainable development. Her previous experience includes internships at the World Bank and the Center for Social Assistance in Mexico City. Ida also served as OneWorld's 2007 Charles Benton Fellow and speaks Swedish, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
